Your Coach
Music has been the constant throughout my life since the first moments I started humming little songs to myself during play time.
In my early teens it became an all encompassing passion that inspired me to become fully trained in my crafts and go on to receive a Bachelor of Music and other qualifications.
Today it’s my livelihood, my escape, my connection to the world... it’s everything.
I’ve been coaching in Canada for 7 years to date. I’ve travelled far and experienced a lot to reach a place where I feel confident in my practice.
Through my studies, artistry, and coaching experience I have taken what I need to create exercises and methods that have worked for my students time and time again.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an absolute beginner just starting to register pitch or a professional musician seeking guidance before heading out on a big tour.
I’m already excited to coach you... because I’m confident we can progress together!

Coaching Philiosophies
- Truly want to help the student - I genuinely care about helping my students reach their goals and I care about being good at what I do. When my students win, I win!
- Be consistently expanding my knowledge - Be open to new information from a range of different sources. Don’t be afraid to throw away old traditions if there’s a better way. All students are different and there’s no “one way” to coach. I’ve accepted a wide array of tactics to ensure each individual student is coached in the way that suits their personal needs.
- Offer honest feedback with valid examples and clear explanation in a constructive and supportive way.
- Prioritize motivation and make progress - Maintaining skills is great but I’d prefer us to be improving at a pace that we both feel is realistic and healthy. Let’s create new challenges, seek growth and find rewards!

2023 — Essentials of Teaching Contemporary Voice

This was a refresh course for guiding singers in learning to use their voice effectively. It expanded my knowledge of voice and helped me gain a clearer understanding of the anatomy and physiology involved in singing. It also validated me on my own practices. My skills grew in areas of instruction, lesson structure, effective feedback, student assessment and student goals.
2012 — Bachelor of Music in Music Performance (Vocals)

At ICMP I developed my playing, performing, technical and theoretical skills to industry standard and gained an understanding of an ever-growing and changing industry. My favourite aspect of this course was the collaborative aspect; learning how to work and play with fellow musicians and how to build healthy professional relationships. There’s not many of my university pals that aren’t working in the music industry today.
